Sriharsha Majety, Nandan Reddy and Rahul Jaimini launched in August 2014 in Bengaluru's Koramangala with a handful of restaurants and, crucially, their own delivery fleet — the decision that separated it from listings-only rivals and let it promise delivery times. The founders had previously worked together on an earlier logistics venture. Swiggy added the quick-commerce service Instamart in 2020 and acquired the dining-out platform Dineout in 2022, before listing on Indian exchanges in November 2024.
