About
Nandan Reddy, whose full name in Swiggy's filings is Lakshmi Nandan Reddy Obul, co-founded the food and quick-commerce delivery company Swiggy and spent 12 years in leadership roles there before leaving its board in April 2026. Born and raised in Hyderabad, he graduated from BITS Pilani in 2010 with an MSc in physics. He then worked as a consultant at Intellecap and with IDinsight, led a rural BPO at Source Pilani, founded Galla, a cloud-based point-of-sale system for restaurants, and was a founding partner of Zurna, a restaurant in Hyderabad. In 2013 he and Sriharsha Majety built Bundl, an e-commerce shipping and courier service; after it was halted in 2014 they brought in Rahul Jaimini, formerly of Myntra, and launched Swiggy in Bengaluru in August 2014. Swiggy went public in November 2024. Reddy's last role was whole-time director and head of innovation, where he led Crew, Swiggy's AI concierge service. He resigned with effect from 10 April 2026 to pursue other professional interests, and reports said he planned to start a new venture.
A BITS Pilani graduate, he worked on the earlier logistics venture Bundl with Sriharsha Majety before the two co-founded Swiggy in 2014. He has held product and strategy roles across the company, including on the dining-out and payments businesses.
