Rahul Jaimini is one of the three co-founders of Swiggy, the Bengaluru food and grocery delivery company, where he served as chief technology officer for its first six years. He completed a master's degree in computer science and engineering at IIT Kharagpur in 2010, with internships at Philips Research and Virginia Tech along the way. He then spent about two years on the technical staff of the data-storage company NetApp before joining the fashion retailer Myntra in 2012, where he rose to senior software engineer. In 2014 Sriharsha Majety and Nandan Reddy, whose courier venture Bundl had stalled, brought Jaimini in as they turned to food delivery, and Swiggy launched in August that year. As CTO he oversaw the technology on which Swiggy's ordering and delivery operations ran. He announced his departure on 7 May 2020 to join Pesto Tech, a career accelerator for software engineers, as a co-founder, while staying on Swiggy's board and remaining a shareholder at that point.
An IIT Kharagpur graduate who worked at Myntra, he joined Sriharsha Majety and Nandan Reddy as Swiggy's technical co-founder and built its early platform — the ordering, assignment and tracking systems behind the delivery fleet — as chief technology officer. He left in 2020 to join the engineering-talent company Pesto Tech.
