Restaurant discovery and food delivery platform. Began as the restaurant listings site Foodiebay before rebranding in 2010. Listed in July 2021; the parent company was renamed Eternal in 2025.
Deepinder Goyal and Pankaj Chaddah built Foodiebay in 2008 while working at Bain, after watching colleagues queue to read paper menus in the office. Renamed Zomato in 2010, it expanded aggressively overseas before narrowing its focus, entered food delivery in 2015, and acquired Uber Eats India in 2020 and the quick-commerce firm Blinkit in 2022. Its July 2021 listing was the first large Indian consumer-internet IPO. The parent was renamed Eternal in 2025 to reflect a group spanning Zomato, Blinkit, District and the B2B supplies arm Hyperpure.
