Indian Walker, a Delhi-based carry brand founded by former Rapido captain Md. Sakib, has raised an undisclosed pre-seed round from Palette Wealth Management at a ₹20 crore post-money valuation. It is the brand's first institutional cheque and will fund inventory and a push into marketplaces.
Indian Walker, a Delhi-based streetwear brand that makes backpacks and other carry products, has raised a pre-seed round from Palette Wealth Management (PWM) at a post-money valuation of ₹20 crore. The size of the round has not been disclosed. The deal was reported on 23 September 2026 and is the company's first institutional funding.
The brand is part of CoFounder Circle (CFC) Venture Studio, a consumer venture studio founded by entrepreneur Darpan Sanghvi.
What the money is for
Indian Walker said in a press release that the capital will go first into inventory, then into broadening its core categories and adding new SKUs to its Level Up collection. It also plans to grow its core team across marketing, social media and operations.
Over the next 24 months the company is targeting ₹100 crore in annual recurring revenue and a customer base of more than one lakh. Because the round size is undisclosed, outsiders cannot tell how much runway the money buys, a point StartupTalky also made in its coverage.
Products and distribution
The brand's core backpacks sell for ₹2,000 to ₹4,000, placing it in the mid-premium segment, and are designed for daily commuting. Its Level Up collection, led by the Stride backpack, has sold more than 10,000 units since launch, according to the company.
Today Indian Walker sells only through its own D2C website. It plans to list on Amazon, Flipkart and Myntra next quarter and then move into quick commerce and other marketplaces. Brands in the wider Indian streetwear space include Bluorng, Huemn, Six5Six, Almost Gods, Gully Labs, The Souled Store and Freakins.
About Indian Walker
Md. Sakib started Indian Walker in July 2025. According to StartupTalky, he lost his job during Covid and began riding as a Rapido captain on Delhi's roads, where he found that the bags he could afford did not hold up to monsoon rides, pillion seats and crowded metro coaches. He set out to build a bag that was both durable and something he would want to be seen carrying.
The company describes itself as a carry-first streetwear brand. It is based in Delhi.
