He studied at McGill University in Canada and worked at Microsoft as a programme manager before returning to India, completing a management programme at IIM Bangalore and starting a search venture for students. Lenskart followed in 2010. He built it as an omnichannel business — website, app, owned stores and at-home eye tests — with in-house manufacturing, on the reasoning that eyewear is a medical product people want to try on. He is widely recognised as an investor on Shark Tank India.
