About
Anjali Sardana is the sole founder of Pronto, an app that sends trained, background-verified domestic workers to homes for chores such as cleaning, mopping, laundry and ironing, often within about ten minutes. She launched Pronto on 1 April 2025, aged 23, starting with a single hub in Gurugram that handled about 170 bookings a day. By early 2026 the company was handling more than 18,000 daily bookings and had expanded to cities including Delhi NCR, Bengaluru and Mumbai. Sardana graduated from Georgetown University in 2024 with a bachelor of science in biology, and developed the idea while studying there, researching how India's informal labour market makes it hard for households and workers to find each other reliably. After graduating she worked briefly in investment roles at Bain Capital and 8VC. Pronto raised a $2 million seed round from Bain Capital, an $11 million Series A led by General Catalyst in August 2025, and a $25 million Series B led by Epiq Capital in March 2026 that valued it at $100 million. Regulatory filings reviewed by Entrackr showed her stake at 38.33% after the Series B.
Sardana told TechCrunch in March 2026 that Pronto worked with about 4,500 active professionals, around 99% of them women, assigned to structured shifts, and that workers completing about 20 days a month earned a median of ₹23,000 to ₹25,000. She said contribution margins had turned positive in the company's oldest Gurugram micromarkets and that the startup had about two years of runway after the Series B. Mint, citing Tracxn, reported a further extension of about $20.2 million in May 2026 and a latest recorded valuation of around $202 million by July 2026.
