Dextr AI, a startup building AI agents that handle hotel reservations, guest requests and staffing, has raised $6.7 million in seed funding led by Elevation Capital. The company already serves properties in North America, the UK and Europe and says India is among the markets it will enter next.
Dextr AI, which makes AI agents for the hospitality industry, has raised $6.7 million in a seed round led by Elevation Capital, with Foundation Capital participating. The SaaS News lists the funding date as 24 September 2026; Indian outlets reported the round on 28 September.
The company was co-founded in July 2025 by Sajid Shariff and Scott Arnold, who serve as CEO and CTO respectively, according to The SaaS News.
What the money is for
Dextr said it will use the funds to speed up product development, hire, and roll out its agents to more hospitality markets around the world. India is one of the markets it plans to expand into.
Alongside the round, the company unveiled Doss Gen 1, a command layer that lets hotel staff direct their AI agents in plain language by text or voice. Dextr says Doss includes role-based permissions, audit trails and consistent controls across a portfolio of properties, features aimed at large hotel operators.
About Dextr AI
Dextr's platform runs specialised AI agents that automate work across guest experience, reservations, staff operations, sales and marketing. The problems it targets are routine but costly: missed calls, unanswered enquiries, unfilled shifts and guest requests that slip through. The idea is to free hotel teams to spend more time with guests.
The company says it serves hundreds of properties in the US, Canada, the UK and Europe, from independent hotels and resorts to franchised properties operating under the Hilton, Wyndham, Best Western and IHG flags. It reports handling more than a million interactions a month and taking card payments by voice, processing tens of millions of dollars in phone reservations each month for its customers.
Dextr says its analysis of India-based contact centres found missed-call rates of around 42%, and that for hotels a missed call can mean a booking lost to an online travel agency or a rival. It claims its reservation-centre deployments have returned 49 to 67 times their cost by using one voice deployment across several use cases. These figures are the company's own and have not been independently verified.
According to The SaaS News, the platform integrates with hospitality software systems and is SOC 2 Type 2, PCI and GDPR compliant.
