Neeraj Singh is a co-founder and the chief technology officer of Groww, the Bengaluru-based platform through which retail investors buy stocks, mutual funds and other financial products online. He was one of four Flipkart employees, along with Lalit Keshre, Harsh Jain and Ishan Bansal, who left the e-commerce company in 2016 to make investing simpler for Indians; Groww started operating in 2017. The company says he heads product development and customer research in addition to technology. Before Groww, Singh worked at Flipkart as an engineering manager and built its customer returns and refunds system. He holds a BE in information technology from ITM Gwalior and a postgraduate diploma in advanced computing from CDAC. Groww's parent, Billionbrains Garage Ventures, was incorporated in January 2018 and listed on the NSE and BSE on 12 November 2025 after an IPO priced at ₹100 a share.
The platform Singh's team built grew quickly in the years before the listing. By the end of September 2023, NSE data showed Groww with 6.63 million active clients against Zerodha's 6.48 million, making it the broker with the most active NSE clients for the first time. Groww's IPO ran from 4 to 7 November 2025 and its shares began trading five days later. Singh remains the company's CTO, the title under which he was listed in Groww's FY25 remuneration disclosures reported in September 2025.
