An IIT Bombay graduate, he founded the education startup Eduflix and worked as a product manager at Flipkart before leaving in 2016 with three colleagues to start Groww. The premise was that most Indians found investing intimidating rather than uninteresting, so the product began with direct mutual funds and a deliberately plain interface. He leads the company as chief executive.
