About
Jones George is managing director of Geojit Financial Services, the Kochi-based broking and investment services firm, from 1 October 2026. He is the son of Geojit's founder and promoter C J George, who moved to the role of executive chairman on the same date under a succession plan approved by the board in July 2026. Jones joined Geojit in 2013 as a digital media specialist, became chief digital officer in 2018 and was elevated to the board as executive director, a role in which he led the company's digital transformation and oversaw its overseas business serving non-resident Indians. His work has centred on building digital platforms and product strategy and on re-engineering business processes for retail financial services. He holds a postgraduate degree in information systems and digital innovation from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and an MBA in finance from the Australian Graduate School of Management at UNSW Business School, University of New South Wales. On taking over, he said Geojit would focus on agility, technology-led growth and customer relationships while keeping its nationwide branch network.
