About
Harsh Jain is a co-founder of Groww, the Bengaluru investing platform, where he is chief operating officer and heads growth and business. He holds a B.Tech in electrical engineering and a master's in information and communication engineering from IIT Delhi, and an MBA in product management and marketing from UCLA. Before Groww he worked in product management at Flipkart, and earlier he had co-founded a storytelling startup. In 2016 he left Flipkart with three colleagues, Lalit Keshre, Ishan Bansal and Neeraj Singh, with the aim of making investing in India simpler and more transparent; their company, Nextbillion Technology, was set up in May 2016 and launched Groww in 2017 as a platform for direct mutual funds. Groww added stocks, ETFs, IPOs and intraday trading in 2020 after becoming a Sebi-registered stockbroker, became a unicorn in April 2021 and in September 2023 overtook Zerodha as India's largest broker by active clients on the NSE. Its parent, Billionbrains Garage Ventures, listed on the NSE and BSE on 12 November 2025, with Jain among the four named promoters. He is a different person from the Dream11 co-founder of the same name.
He worked in product and growth at Flipkart before co-founding Groww in 2016, and has focused on the company's growth and user experience. He shares a name with the Dream11 co-founder, who is a different person.
